As the impact to our community by the Champion Cares Foundation grows with each new resident electing to Round Up Their Rent $1, we are always searching for ways to increase our charitable momentum, and make an even bigger mark.

That is why we were excited when the opportunity came along to partner with an annual golf invitational that Champion has been a part of for several years now as a sponsor.

For the past 11 years, the Doc & Yeager Golf Tournament has grown into a major benefactor for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Central Ohio. Founded by Champion’s President and CEO Brian Yeager, and his long-time friend Dr. Trent Albright, the Doc & Yeager has matured over the years from a small golf outing with their closest friends, to a major event that is raising tens of thousands of dollars for BBBS.

It’s this growth that led the Doc & Yeager to seek out a 501(c)3 organization to partner with, to raise more money than the tournament ever had before– $50,000. The Champion Cares Foundation was a natural fit.

This partnership will allow us to reach four different charities with the money from the tournament instead of just one: BBBS, the YWCA Family Center, Children’s Hunger Alliance and the Columbus Children’s Charity.
