Westerville, OH – The Champion Companies has named Mike Mayhew of Westerville, Ohio as the company’s Vice President of Investments, effective March 1, 2021.

Mike brings to the firm more than 15 years of experience as a successful real estate entrepreneur.  He will use the expertise he developed through his business ventures to assist Champion’s Deal Team in underwriting and evaluating prospective multifamily acquisitions, as well as assisting in the closing of all dispositions and refinances. Mike will also be responsible for sourcing new and managing existing equity investor relationships.

“Mike has a strong aptitude for real estate investing and is well versed in what’s going on in the Central Ohio market,” Brian Yeager, Champion’s president and CEO said. “His passion and expertise are a perfect fit for Champion.”

Before building his extensive local real estate portfolio, Mike started his career as a professional strength and conditioning trainer. He soon developed and then managed his own commercial real estate space to open a fitness facility in Westerville, Ohio, which is still open today. Mike continued to amass an impressive local real estate portfolio in the 15 years that followed; investing in, remodeling, and selling numerous single-family homes, multifamily properties, and commercial properties.
