Champion Real Estate Services Raises Over $60,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters

COLUMBUS, OH – On March 7, Champion Real Estate Services formed 19 bowling teams in an unprecedented company fundraising effort for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio and the organization’s annual Bowl For Kids’ Sake event.

For the third year in a row, Champion more than doubled its fundraising goal hoping to raise $26,000, but bringing in a total of $61,872 as the No. 2 fundraising company in Central Ohio out of 70 companies.

“The amount of support we had this year for Bowl For Kids’ Sake was incredible,” said Brian Yeager, president and CEO of Champion. “The fact that 70 of our employees, friends and family would spend their Saturday afternoon bowling together for a great cause is a true testament to the people who have made Champion what is it today.”

It is a year of fifths for Champion, a long-time supporter of BBBS of Central Ohio, as the company is celebrating its fifth year in business as well as its fifth Bowl For Kids’ Sake. Yeager has been involved with BBBS since 2005 and recently joined as a member of its Board of Directors.

BBBS is a non-profit prevention-based agency that serves the community by providing quality mentoring relationships to children and youth in need of a friend. More than $480,000 raised at this year’s bowling event will go to BBBS to help them serve thousands of youths across Central Ohio in 2015.

In addition to sponsoring and participating in BFKS, Champion will sponsor the annual Doc & Yeager golf invitational during the summer to help raise even more money and awareness for the BBBS mentoring programs.

“It is important to us at Champion to give back to the Central Ohio community because of how supportive it has been to us as a business,” Yeager said. “Big Brothers Big Sisters gives us the opportunity to come together as a Champion team to support Columbus, and we love doing just that.”
